The Experience

Indonesia at its wildest

Few places feel as untouched as Komodo National Park. Scattered across brilliant turquoise seas, its rugged islands are home to pink beaches, dramatic viewpoints, vibrant coral reefs and, of course, the world's largest lizards. From the moment we arrived, it felt unlike anywhere else we'd travelled.

Most days were spent island hopping by boat, snorkelling alongside colourful marine life and stopping at breathtaking viewpoints where the surrounding bays seemed almost too perfect to be real. Every island offers something different, from quiet beaches and hidden coves to landscapes shaped by volcanic hills and crystal-clear water.

Although the Komodo dragons are the headline attraction, they become just one part of the experience. The combination of luxury liveaboards, incredible wildlife, untouched nature and some of the finest scenery in Indonesia makes this destination one of Southeast Asia's true bucket-list adventures.

Padar Island

01

Padar Island

The climb to the top of Padar Island is short but unforgettable. As you reach the summit, three sweeping bays come into view, each with a different coloured beach framed by rugged hills and turquoise water. It's one of Indonesia's most iconic viewpoints and easily one of our favourite moments of the trip.

Komodo Dragon

02

Walking With Dragons

Seeing Komodo dragons in their natural habitat is something few places on Earth can offer. Guided by experienced rangers, we watched these remarkable reptiles roaming freely across the island. Their size, power and prehistoric appearance make every encounter feel genuinely unforgettable.

Pink Beach

03

Pink Beaches & Crystal Seas

Beyond the dragons, Komodo National Park is an island paradise. Snorkelling above colourful coral reefs, relaxing on the famous Pink Beach and cruising between untouched islands quickly became some of our favourite memories. Every stop revealed another postcard-perfect bay that seemed even more beautiful than the last.
