OUR VIETNAM
Falling for Hoi An.
We started our trip in Da Nang and spent a couple of days enjoying walks up and down My Khe Beach. It was a relaxed start, but the trip really ramped up when we arrived in Hoi An.
We were blown away by the beautiful shopping streets and the bougainvillea growing and flowering almost everywhere. It was one of those places where simply walking around became part of the experience.
We had clothes made, bought handmade leather goods and picked up some art, while the restaurants were another highlight. There always seemed to be another shop, restaurant or beautiful street worth exploring.
We stayed at Grand Signature Resort by M Village, just a short taxi ride from the Old Town. We can't speak highly enough of this hotel. The room product was great, there were multiple swimming pools and the kids loved playing paddle and pool. Most of all, they really looked after us there.

THE OLD TOWN
Just a short taxi ride
The hotel gave us a peaceful base while keeping the beautiful streets, shops and restaurants of Hoi An's Old Town easy to reach.

Pools & paddle
The kids loved the multiple swimming pools and playing paddle and pool, while the hotel staff really looked after us throughout our stay.

Hoi An Old Town
Spend time simply wandering the beautiful streets. The shopping, architecture and flowering bougainvillea make every walk feel special.

Made-to-measure clothes
Hoi An is a great place to have clothes made. Shopping becomes part of the experience rather than something you need to rush through.

Handmade leather
We bought handmade leather goods and loved discovering the different shops and makers around the town.

The restaurants
Food was a big part of what made Hoi An work for us. There are plenty of restaurants to discover while wandering around town.

My Khe Beach
Start the trip with a couple of days in Da Nang, walking My Khe Beach and easing into the slower pace before heading to Hoi An.

Give Hoi An time to wander.
The real magic for us was not one particular sight. It was walking through the streets and seeing the bougainvillea flowering almost everywhere, stopping to look in shops and finding another restaurant whenever we felt like eating.
We loved having clothes made and picking up handmade leather goods and art. Hoi An makes shopping feel personal and enjoyable rather than like a checklist of things to buy.
And having Grand Signature Resort by M Village as our base made the whole experience even better. It was close enough to the Old Town by taxi, but gave us somewhere fantastic to return to, with great rooms, multiple pools and staff who really looked after us.
