A personal collection
of places and moments.

Having spent much of our lives travelling, relocating to this part of the world gave us a new sense of curiosity and an opportunity to explore places we already knew and loved, as well as discovering many more along the way.

The Expat Edits grew from that renewed enthusiasm — a personal collection of the places we visit, the experiences we have and, perhaps most importantly, the moments that make us want to keep travelling.

This isn’t a professional travel magazine, and we’re certainly not professional photographers. Every photograph on The Expat Edits is simply taken as we go, almost entirely on our iPhones. There are no elaborate shoots, professional cameras or carefully staged photoshoots — just the images we happen to capture along the way.

We hope that’s part of the charm.

The photographs may not always have the technical quality of a professional travel publication, but they are real. They capture places as we actually experienced them, often in the moment, and hopefully give the site a little more personality and reality.

The Expat Edits is simply our way of documenting the places we’ve been fortunate enough to visit — and sharing the experiences, photographs and stories that have made us want to see what lies around the next corner.
