OUR HONG KONG
The city we always come back to.
Hong Kong is one of those cities that somehow feels familiar every time we arrive. Living in Singapore means it is only a short flight away, and between work trips and weekends away we've found ourselves returning again and again. Every visit reminds us why we love it.
Our favourite days usually begin with coffee before wandering through Soho, getting deliberately lost among the side streets where some of the city's best restaurants and cocktail bars seem to hide behind unassuming doors. Hong Kong rewards curiosity more than planning, and some of our favourite meals have been found simply by turning the next corner.
Food is a huge part of why we keep coming back. We never miss an excuse to book somewhere from the Black Sheep group — especially Carbone — while The New Punjab Club has become another firm favourite. Long lunches, late dinners and discovering somewhere new each trip have become part of our Hong Kong tradition.
We also love slowing the city down. Taking the Star Ferry across to Kowloon, spending an afternoon shopping, escaping for a pool day at the Hyatt, or checking into The Hari or The Pottinger gives Hong Kong a completely different rhythm. It is energetic, stylish and endlessly exciting, but it also knows how to do luxury remarkably well.

The cooler months are our favourite time to be in Hong Kong, with comfortable temperatures for walking, eating and exploring the city.

Warm and humid summers, milder winters and plenty of sunshine make Hong Kong a destination for almost any time of year.

Walk & ride
The MTR, ferries, trams and taxis make getting around incredibly easy, while some of our favourite discoveries are made simply by walking.

Black Sheep Group
We are big fans of the group and rarely need much convincing to try another of their restaurants. They have become part of our Hong Kong rotation.

The New Punjab Club
Another firm favourite. A memorable place for a long lunch or dinner and exactly the sort of restaurant that keeps us excited to come back.

Soho
One of our favourite parts of Hong Kong. We love wandering without much of a plan, finding hidden restaurants, bars and little places that weren't on the itinerary.

The Star Ferry
Taking the ferry across to Kowloon never gets old. Add an afternoon of shopping and it makes for one of our favourite easy Hong Kong days.

The Hari & The Pottinger
Two hotels we really like. Both offer a different take on Hong Kong and make excellent bases when we're spending time in the city.
OUR EDIT
Don't over-plan Hong Kong.
Our favourite Hong Kong days rarely involve a long list of things to tick off. Pick a neighbourhood, start walking and see where you end up.
Soho is perfect for this. There is always another restaurant, bar or tiny doorway worth investigating. Hong Kong is a city that rewards curiosity, and that's exactly how we like to experience it.
